Mold (mújù), a variety of molds and tools used in industrial production for injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, die casting or forging, smelting, stamping, etc. to obtain the desired product. In short, a mold is a tool for making a shaped article, and the tool is composed of various parts, and different molds are composed of different parts. It mainly realizes the processing of the shape of the article by changing the physical state of the formed material. Known as the "mother of industry"
There are many types of molds, which can be divided according to the processing objects and processing techniques:
1 processing metal mold.
2 Processing non-metal and powder metallurgy molds. Including plastic molds (such as two-color molds, compression molds and extrusion molds, etc.), rubber molds and powder metallurgy molds. According to the structural characteristics, the mold can be further divided into a flat punching die and a cavity die having a space. The mold is generally single piece and produced in small batches.
Production Process
Mold is a model, according to this model to make products, but how the mold is produced, probably not most of the mold professionals can not answer. The mold has played an irreplaceable role in our lives, our daily necessities Most of them are inseparable from molds, such as computers, telephones, fax machines, keyboards, cups, etc., and the outer covers like cars and motorcycle engines are also made of molds. More than 20,000 molds are used in various molds. Therefore, the role of modern life molds is irreplaceable. As long as mass production is inseparable from molds.
So how is the mold made?
The following is a brief introduction to the modern mold production process.
1. ESI (EarlierSupplierInvolvement supplier early participation): This stage is mainly about the technical discussion between the customer and the supplier on product design and mold development. The main purpose is to let the supplier clearly understand the product designer. The design intent and accuracy requirements also give product designers a better understanding of the mold production capabilities, product process performance, and thus make a more reasonable design.
2. Quotation: including the price of the mold, the life of the mold, the turnover process, the number of tons required for the machine, and the delivery date of the mold. (More detailed quotations should include information such as product size weight, mold size weight, etc.)
3, Order (PurchaseOrder): customer orders, the issuance of deposits and the acceptance of supplier orders.
4, mold production planning and scheduling (ProductionPlanningandScheduleArrangement): This stage needs to respond to the customer on the specific date of the delivery of the mold.
5, mold design (Design): Possible design software is Pro / Engineer, UG, Solidworks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.
6, procurement materials
7. Machining: The processes involved are roughly car, boring (milling), heat treatment, grinding, computer boring (CNC), electric spark (EDM), wire cutting (WEDM), coordinate grinding (JIGGRINGING), laser Lettering, polishing, etc.
8, mold assembly (Assembly)
9, mold test mode (TrialRun)
10. Sample Evaluation Report (SER)
11. Sample evaluation report approval (SERApproval)
